The Regency Gown

The Regency Gown:  Pride and Prejudice or Bridgerton it totally up to you.  Linen or Satin, both make a beautiful gown.  This is a simple gown to make.  You will make a toile of the bodice to ensure a good fit.  Then the toile will be come the lining for the gown. 

Sewing Level:  Confident Beginner.  

Skills: With this dress you will learn commercial pattern use, gathering, sewing curved seams, seam finishes, flat lining and fitting. 

Materials:  Please Purchase 6 yards of Fabric and 6 yards of overlay material if desired.  This dress works well with Cotton, Linen, lightweight wool, silk or satin charmeuse, and matching thread.  Trims and embellishments as desired,

Provided tools: Pattern, Sewing Machines and sewing tools  available in our studio.
