Theatrical Education Course

This Course can be done once or as a scheduled class weekly, biweekly or as needed by crew.   10 costumer crew members can be accommodated in course.  There are 6 sewing stations available for use. 

Please note:  Course can travel to your theater location or done in our sewing studio.

Review of production with Director (in person meeting()

Review and introduction of Costuming for a production to students. 

How to develop and execute a costume plot with students

How to develop a design plan  for integral pieces to be constructed the production with students.

Teaching Garment construction, providing sewing machines, supplies and muslin for integral pieces being made for production. 

Fitting entire cast (all actors on theater property).  Initial fitting and 1 to 2 fittings for muslin for integral pieces. 

Teaching pattern reading, pattern manipulation and fitting students. Students sewing /completing the planned integral  costumes pieces for live production. 

Embellishments and completion of designed costumes including final fitting and costume parade for Director approvals.

Mending and Alterations for theatrical costuming education and instruction for students.

Assistance with costume pull from costume shop with costume crew students.

Assistance with CAPA Designer Submission if programs is a CAPA Participant.
